REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
On December 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm, VA1040P – Oysters’ Sand Arbor #810 helped in the Leesburg Union Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.

Concluding the year 2023, we saw volunteers came out in full force to support the National Veterans Wreath Day at one of Virginia’s Hallowed Ground in Leesburg. Despite the cold winter on December 16, Veterans’ families, community members, volunteers and supporters came together and re-echoed “Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. Teach the next generation the value of freedom.”
Thanks to community funding from Gleaner Life Insurance Society, Oysters Sand Arbor (OSA) of Virginia was able to financially support this solemn activity and generate a higher level of awareness among the communities’ members, volunteers and supporters.
Patrick Anderson, founder of OSA remarked, “Let us not forget. Let us continue to preserve the selfless sacrifices and services rendered by our Veterans. Let the next generations know to keep the faith in our democracy and freedom fought for by the blood, sweat and tears of those who have served, are serving and will continue to serve”.
