Celebrating National Doctors’ Day

National Doctors’ Day (2026) highlights the critical role physicians play in society. Doctors advance scientific knowledge, deliver life-saving care, manage complex illnesses, and often work long hours under high pressure — including during crises. The day serves as a meaningful opportunity for patients, families, communities, hospitals, and organizations to express gratitude through thank-you notes, events, recognitions, and public acknowledgments.
It also underscores challenges faced by physicians, such as burnout and the demands of modern healthcare, while encouraging support for their well-being and continued service.
Giving utmost importance to this concern, OSA brought together their energies to honor no less than OSA President, Dr. January Dumlao-Umayam. In her capacity as President, she has continuously emphasized to the communities she served the value of healthcare and well-being.
